Besides, it holds special appeal to synthetic and biochemists because of its remarkable structural diversity and provides a fertile ground for developing synthetic strategies and screening them for biological aspects. Thus, it ensures a limitless scope of structurally novel compounds with a wide range of physical, chemical and biological properties.

Dr. Ananda Kumar C.S obtained his PhD in Chemistry from University of Mysore. He was a JSPS Post-doctoral fellow at Hokkaido University, Japan. He has to his credit over 80 research publications in reputed international journals. Presently he is working as an Associate professor at Centre for Materials Science, University of Mysore, Mysore, India.
