Beschreibung
The state of Rajasthan is endowed with variety of habitats. Diverse ecosystems make it a state rich of the faunal and floral elements. From biodiversity point of view has been divided the state into four zones viz. a) Great Indian Desert and Canal Command Area, B) Aravali Hilly Ecosystem, C) Eastern Plain Ecosystem and D) Ravine Ecosystem. The Ravine Ecosystem, lying in the eastern portion of Rajasthan, is mainly formed by three perennial rivers, Banas, Mahi and Chambal. These Biotopes, quite different from each other, support a variety of fauna.
