Environmental problems are major issues of concern in world. The government alone cannot effectively tackle with the problem of environment. Now a days NGOs have become one of the most effective factors for environmental protection. The collective interventions of NGOs, Government and private sector in nation and international level are essential. NGOs of national and international level have contributed in natural resources management, climate change, global warming and environmental sustainability. This book gives an overview of various NGOs in environmental protection and conservation. In order to achieve goals of environmental protection, national and international NGOs have worked on sustainable environment, environmental education and training, created awareness, carbon management, advocacy for environmental conservation, policy making and pollution control successfully.

Shalini Kulsange holds M.Sc. Environmental Science. She is interested on environmental protection and conservation by creating awareness among students and particularly school going children.Rahul Kamble holds PhD and M.Sc. Environmental Science; MBA Environmental Management (the Netherlands); completed two externally funded research projects.
