Plankton are minute organisms and are essential links in food chain in aquatic system. The Narmada river is one among the important rivers in India with varied rich biodiversity. The river Narmada is an important source of drinking water and is considered as a lifeline of Madhya Pradesh state. The chapters of this book deals with particular topics, which are arranged in the approximate order. The work is important for two reasons: it is based on research work on the subject, done for some years and many recent research findings.
