The book is related to the production technology and plant protection of leafy vegetables grown in Rajasthan. In cultural practices each plant is classified in sub-headings as introduction, origin and distribution, nutritional values, plant description, uses, advance varieties, climate, soil, land preparation, sowing/propagation time, manures and fertilizer requirements, water management/irrigation, weed control, harvesting, yield, seed production, post-harvest management, processing and marketing. In the plant protection (diseases and insect-pests) the diseases viz. fungal, bacterial, viral, insects and nematode included with major symptoms and their control measures. This book is valuable for teachers and students, pharmacologist, academicians, farmers professionals working in the field of taxonomy, pharmacology, vegetable processing industry, research institutes and laboratories. The book is written in such an easy manner so the content can be easily understood. I hope that the book will help in better production of vegetable crops and protect them by various pathogens.

Dr. DK Sharma (Ph.D.) worked as Head and Coordinator Post-Graduate studies in P.G. Department of Botany, Agrawal P.G. College, Jaipur. Presently he is serving in VMOU, Kota as Director (RC). He has 19 years of research and teaching experience (UG and PG) and published more than 30 research papers (national and international repute).
