Beschreibung
Extermophilic microorganisms have a unique ability to live in extreme environments and deliver a valuable source of new biocatalysts and compounds. Extremophiles and their components are expected to play an important role in many industries as well as environmental biotechnology. Extremely halotolerant and thermotolerant microorganisms living in extreme salt and high-temperature environments have not yet been used extensively for biotechnological purposes although they possess useful physiological properties, which can facilitate their exploitation for commercial purposes. The genetic engineering and molecular biology (the study of genes and their function) gained a lot of intention in recent years, has given us strong tools to study the genome of bacterial isolates. The aim of this study was to isolate and purify halotolerant and thermotolerant bacterial isolates from local solar saltern, study unusual characters that are very important in biotechnological applications.
