The book entitled, "Enumeration of Conserved Threatened Plants and Animals inside Sacred Groves in Darjeeling District" provides an inventorization of Sacred Groves in Darjeeling District as well as Threatened Plants and Animals inside these SGs, their excellent traditional conservation practices by the locals due to local beliefs since time immemorial. These SGs and their plants and animals are directly involved with local socio-cultural purposes, so these are conserved automatically without involvement of Forest Department or NGOs. These SGs are the home of Several threatened primitive plants including ethnomedicinal plants and Endangered animals. The book aims at providing a detailed comprehensive information of Sacred Groves in Darjeeling district with respect to its Threatened plants and animals and their traditional conservation practices since time immemorial. This book will be a reference guide book to the students and researchers in the field of Biodiversity & Conservation, Field Botany & Zoology, Field Ecology, Forestry & Ethnobotany.
