Beschreibung
CHROMENE BASED SPIROCYCLIC MOLECULES AND BIOLOGICAL STUDIES has been divided into three chapters. Chapter I describes diastereoselective synthesis of novel spiro indanone fused pyrano[3,2-c]chromene derivatives following hetero-Diels-Alder reaction and in vitro anticancer studies. Chapter II describes with one-pot, three-component regio- and sterospecific synthesis of spiro indanone pyrrolidine/piperidine fused nitrochromene derivatives through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions and chapter III describes base mediated green synthesis of enantiopure 2-C-spiro-glycosyl-3-nitrochromenes.

Dr.S.Nayak obtained her M. Sc. from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (1997) andPh. D. (2008)from University of Pune under the supervision of Dr.M. K. Gurjar. From 2009 She was associated with Professor J.R.Falck at UTSW, Dallas, Texas as a post-doctoral researcher. From March 2010 onward she is continuing as an Asst. Professor in Ravenshaw University.
