Beschreibung
This book is a research into the linguistic motivation of five undergraduate students from the Gaza Strip. It reports on their motivation to learn English in such a highly particularised context. Other intersecting themes are involved such as: power, identity construction, and the status of English as a global language. Results have revealed interesting insights into the types of motivational domains that have emerged from the testimonies of those young people.

Rawand El Hour born in Gaza, Palestine.She finished her BA in Teaching English Language at the Islamic University of Gaza, and then completed her MA degree in Culture, Language and Identity at Goldsmiths, University of London. Currently working as a lecturer at the English Department of the Islamic university.
