There is little doubt that writing is one of the most challenging skills, both in L1 and L2 settings. Understandably, writing, especially in an L2 context, involves a degree of apprehension. Still, writing apprehension varies from person to person, partly due to personality factors like motivation, attitude, feelings of self-efficacy, and so on. This book discusses writing related traits like writing self-efficacy and writing apprehension in relation to personal traits like extroversion/introversion, attitudes, motivation, etc. Apart from a relatively rich literature review, it also contains the results of an empirical investigation of the topic, followed by the discussion of the results and the implications that the findings can have for researchers and practitioners.So, this book may prove useful for language learners, teachers, researchers, and materials developers.

Dr. Abbas Ali Zarei, an associate professor in TEFL, is a member of academic staff at Imam Khomeini International University, Qazvin, Iran. He has had 42 books and 83 papers published, and has presented at 47 conferences across the world. Bahareh Sadeghi, an MA holder in TEFL, teaches English at various institutes and universities.
