Beschreibung
Obvious cases of self-deception pose a considerable challenge, including from a philosophical point of view. Investigating the current debate, Simone Neuber sets out to trace the first theoretical analyses of the phenomenon of "self-deception" and sheds light on the difficulties associated with how it is conceived, even when this is applied to supposedly relevant texts from the history of philosophy.
