The paintings of Buddhist cave monasteries of Western India (1st century to 5th century CE) convey about 700 years of life and beliefs of ancient Indians. Dr Manager Rajdeo Singh,Msc. Ph.D. is presently teaching 'Heritage Site Management and Scientific Conservation' at Deccan College Post graduate and Research Institute, Pune, India. He retired from Archaeological Survey of India as Superintending Archaeological Chemist. He has published more than 50 research papers on cultural heritage.
