Based on an analytical approach towards Accessibility of Old City Core, this book re-looks at the core of the city of Kolkata in India. The research is funded under Design innovation Centre (DIC) Scholarship by Ministry of Human resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Authors have tried to open a new face of Accessibility to the students of Architecture and Planning across the globe. The co-author Professor Dr. N.R. Mandal [PhD (Architecture) BIT, Mesra; Master of Planning (Urban Planning), SPA Delhi; B. Arch IIT KGP] is a Professor & Head of the Department of Urban & Regional Planning in School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. He is a dedicated researcher and propagator of Universal Design in the planning paradigm. Having authored a number of national and international publications, Professor Mandal is an immense source of inspiration to his students and colleagues alike.

Prof. Gaurab is an Architect turned Urban & Regional Planner and is presently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Architecture, GITAM deemed to be University. He is a recipient of Dual Gold Medal(Chairman's & Proficiency) & Best Thesis Award from SPA, Bhopal. Besides, he is a recipient of DIC Scholarship for research in Universal Design.
