The work aims at improving the reading skills of children by improving the underlying cognitive processes known as PASS Reading Enhancement Programme (PREP), which is based on the PASS theory of intelligence.The effectiveness of PREP has been proved by means of several studies carried out in different cultures. In the present book, an attempt has been made to establish its efficacy in Indian set-up.

Dr. Shamita Mahapatra was educated at Ravenshaw College, Cuttack and Centre for Advanced Study in Psychology, Utkal University. She is teaching at Ravenshaw University as a Reader in Psychology since 2010. Her research has spanned the range of topics in Cognitive Psychology, Psychology of Disadvantaged children, Educational Psychology etc.
