This book is an important contribution for those interested in the pre-history of North-east Africa. Although, the focus of study is Eritrea, it also touches in detail contexts from Ethiopia, the Sudan and Egypt. The cultural sequences of Ethiopia and Eritrea are not well-understood and reconstructed to this date in comparison to the Nile Valley of the Sudan and Egypt. The book can be used as reference material in any higher learning institutions giving course in African Archaeology.
Autorenporträt
The Author is an Assistant Professor of Archaeology at the department of Archaeology and Heritage Management, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He has done his first degree in History and his M.A in Archaeology from the same University. In addition he has got an M.Phil degree from the University of Bergen, Norway & Ph.D from Italy.
