This book is written specifically to expose why some men do not participate fully in child spacing in their families.The main aim of this book is to explore involvement of men in family planning programmes. The physical involvement of the male partners is not felt although they provide their support both financially and serves as reminders of their wives. Also the insistence on the presence and consent of the male partners at least for the first visit to the health center by service providers sometimes restricts the use of the service since most of the male partners seem to show no interest in the use of contraceptives. There is always adequate awareness of Family Planning and its importance to both among men and women is all the time talked about over the radio programes ,TV and also put in posters for people to read.The readers of this book will learn that the range of family planning methods available to men is limited, and this as a result inhibits mens capacity to participate in fertility regulation.

Mr.Oyugi Alfred is a lecturer at All Saints University,Lango.He is the HOD Development Studies/Project Planning and Management.He holds a Degree of Master of Arts in Public Administration and Management(MAPAM) of Gulu University,Bachelor of Development Studies of Ndejje University First Class Hons and a Diploma in Education Secondary of Kyambogo.
