It is believed that the information in this book about various processes and their role in controlling the present challenging condition of our environment will benefit the students, researchers and teachers. This project was under taken in order to give a comprehensive overview of the studies done so far on the role of various processes like adsorption, ion-exchange, reverse osmosis etc. in controlling various types of pollutions of our environment.

Dr Sajad Ahmad Ganai is working as a faculty member in the department of higher education J&K. He has doctrated from Aligarh Muslim University, India. He has also been conferred with degree of Doctor of Letters by University of South America, USA. He has many books and research publications to his credit, all in Journals of international repute.
