Beschreibung
Krishi Vigyan Kendras are being managed by both government and non-government organizations. At present the monitory and evaluation of KVK is done by the respective nodal agency, ICAR and an independent evaluation unit identified by the ICAR. These agencies assess the functioning based on the reports submitted by KVKs, which is not vigorous and does not provide scope to objectively assess the functioning and to suggest improvements to make them to perform better. This necessitates a thorough descriptive analysis of various functions of KVK and this could serve as a guideline for planners, administrators and policy maker of KVKs, for effective planning and providing necessary modifications to improve the overall functioning of KVK.
