'Nationalization of Banks' This work analyses 'innovative' intervention and resolution tools set in force after the financial crisis of 2007, which are established to safeguard financial stability by the transfer of (assets of) banks to a bridge bank. The focus lies on the German 'Übertragungsanordnung' and the bridge bank tool of the EU bank recovery and resolution directive. At last the author analyses the possibility of a (general) nationalization of banks.
