Indian economy and population have been subjected to varied food production, availability and distribution throughout recorded history. While three have been abundance of food and resources have attracted people from other nations to explore, exploit, govern and settle in the country. There have also been times when Indian soil, climate and famines have taken away seasonal practices lives and led holds of people leave the country in search of food. The nature and significance of food security cannot be determined in any way less important for human settlement than this.

Bhola Khan has obtained his PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia,New Delhi, India. He has 8 years teaching experience with different Universities. He used to teach Macro Economics, Econometrics and Economic Growth. He has 19 publications including three books. Currently he is working as Senior Lecturer at Dept. of Economics, Yobe State University, Nigeria
