The ministry of counseling should be done with understanding, zeal and patience. This is because the object of pastoral counseling is various categories of people including the youths, married, the sick and so forth. Until the counselor is able to understand the cause rather than the symptoms of an issue, he will not appropriately help the counselees to define answers to their problems. Communication is the means by which the counselor will be able to uproot the root cause of the real issue. Communication breeds, upholds and enhances relationships. This is what this book is all about.
