This book is about scientific creativity in chemistry education as influenced by students' gender, academic performance and chemistry self-concept. It describes the findings of a research carried out in four counties in Kenya involving high school students.The aspects of creativity tested in this study are; sensitivity to problems, recognition of relationships between variables or concepts, flexibility in reasoning and the ability to do planning for scientific investigations.

Dr. Florence Kamonjo is a lecturer at the University of Kabianga, Kenya. She holds a PhD degree in Science Education from Egerton University. She has a M.Ed. degree in Science Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education & a B.Sc. in Chemistry & Biology. She also has a diploma in Educational Management.She is a member of the OWSD.
