Research Methods are the tools and techniques for doing research. Research is a term used liberally for any kind of investigation that is intended to uncover interesting or new facts. As with all activities, the rigor with which this activity is carried out will be reflected in the quality of the results. The present book is a simple and comprehensive introduction to research approaches in education, Quantitative, Qualitative, and Mixed Methodologies, written for students of higher education. The writers tried to provide examples after explaining each approach and their different types.

Mostafa Tajgozari is a PhD student of TEFL at Shiraz University, Iran. His areas of interest include teaching and learning English, research methodologies, learning strategies, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), and writing assessment. He has published several peer-reviewed papers in reputed international journals and conferences.
