Renewable Energy Sources and Technologies (RESAT): Wind Power was written for anyone, students and professionals with a Science or Engineering background, who wish to gain a basic understanding of the key concepts behind wind resource assessment(WRA) and wind power energy system engineering. Students in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering at M. Sc, B.Sc. and HND levels are particularly focused.

Muhammad Lawan had earlier worked in several industries, both local and international, before becoming a Lecturer at the department of Electrical Engineering, Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil where he had taught courses such as computer programming, soft computing and renewable energy courses.
