This book is very much useful for undergraduates who follow the Waste Management subject as their B.Sc. Degree Program. It is written for you to use as additional course material to improve your knowledge on waste recovery processes in sustainable way. Really we cannot identify waste as useless material. Therefore we must have aware how to use it in proper manner. This book will teach you how much demands the waste is? All units are organized in order to understand all necessary techniques which should follow to produce energy from using raw waste. All methods are clearly explained in simple way for easy understanding. It might be used by individual undergraduates needing extra help as well as knowledge about the subject. It will also be useful for some more advanced students (postgraduates) who have problems with managing waste and need a book for reference to get most suitable ideas about disposable practices of waste. For teachers and lecturers may also find it useful as additional course material in cases where further work or studies are necessary.

Dr. S.K. Gunatilake obtained B.Sc. Degree in Physical Science from University of Ruhuna in 1990 M.Sc. Degree in Environmental Science from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1990. She got her Ph.D. in Environmental Science in 2003 from Saga University, Japan. In 2005 she attached to the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer.
