Insulating liquid is best suited for cooling of electrical equipment like transformer, circuit breaker. It also provides adequate insulation, as high voltages are used in transformers. Insulating liquid needs good amount of attention during its procurement, storage and service. Poor quality insulating liquid not only reduces heat transfer rate but can spoil the transformer as well which may result in long outage and huge losses. It is not an easy task to encapsulate in depth technical and practical information on the subject like insulating liquid in any comprehensive publication. In spite of this the author has made an attempt to condense the information in a small book.
