Solar chimney power technology This book presents an analysis of not a very old technology of electric power generation using solar energy by employing basic physics that when air is heated it rises. The created updraft can be used to turn a turbine placed at an appropriate position within a tall chimney to generate electricity. The book discusses the principles of and characteristics of such a system, its requirements, its construction and its operation.
Autorenporträt
The author holds a Doctorate Degree in New and Renewable Energy Technologies in which his research topic was based on Solar Chimney Electric Power generation Technology. Currently, he is an Professors of Physics and Chairman of the Department of Physics and Materials Science at Maseno University (Kenya).
