Beschreibung
The required technology for the structural design of offshore platforms is reachable but the required technology for offshore foundations is far beyond our current state of art in Iran. Therefore we will address the problem of sustainable development with emphasis on the foundation design in order to illustrate the bigger picture of foundation design of offshore platforms for readers and hopefully researchers in this field to encourage them to think out of the box.

Amir Rahimi is CEO of Niaresh Polymer Co., Iran, where he leads the company in oil and gas industrial projects nationwide. He holds M.Sc. in Geotechnical engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology of Tehran and has published several articles and books in different areas of civil engineering and geotechnical engineering.
