Quality function deployment or briefly QFD, that is one of the important tools in quality engineering in line with increasing care for clients will, was formed in automobile industry in 70s. Purpose of this tool is development in client's qualitative demands to all of the steps and processes of production designing and manufacturing. Final goal of QFD is to realize and translate client's qualitative demands to technical and engineering language of the organization. Although QFD is a very important technical tool for translating client's request to technical features of the product, lack of smart systems and mechanisms that are able to analyze it accurately has made it somewhat difficult to use this valuable tool. In this book it was decided to provide the platform for more detailed analysis of QFD and offering products that meet most of clients demands as a result, by representing smart and expert systems. This literature attempts to step forward in improving the process of converting client's demands to qualitative features of products by integrating intelligence with the use of expert systems and finally, bring the satisfaction of clients.

S. Hossein Iranmanesh is an assistant professor at the School of Industrial and System Engineering in the University of Tehran, Iran. He is an expert in QFD with more than 15 years experiment in this field and has several articles, technical notes, training workshops and consulting on QFD.
