We are progressing towards new discoveries and inventions in the field of science and technology, but unfortunately, very rare inventions could have helped the problems faced by the physically challenged people who face difficulties in communicating with normal people as they use sign language as their prime medium for communication. Mostly, the sign languages are not understood by the common people. In this book, we have discussed about the previous work done in the field of sign language detection, their advantages and disadvantage, some image processing algorithms, Kinect sensor, along with the detailed explanation and the steps taken for the development of the proposed algorithm. It also includes the explanation of a text to speech conversion algorithm, which is an essential part of the project. Finally, at last, there is a discussion about the result and scope of the project. This book is basically for UG student, PG students and researchers.
