At the present day traffic congestion is the most challenging problem in world wide. Therefore it is basic to focus on the finding of a solution for this problem.Inadequate infrastructure, poor traffic management and long signal time are some of the reason behind congestion. Comparison of different intersection types were made to give a better solution for the most congested intersection in Addis Ababa city. In this research unsignalised, signalized, roundabout only and underpass with roundabout at the top level type of intersection are selected for the comparison and SIDRA software were used to analyse the data. The result of the researches reduce the travel time delay on congested area by fix days for each type of vehicle code, construction of road underpass or over pass, install traffic signal and make the traffic management system strong and strong.
