Beschreibung
A substance is rarely present in a natural source as a single entity in that source. So the separation procedure is needed for isolation the pure compounds from the crude mixture that has resulted from either the laboratory synthesis of the compound or extraction from one of its natural source. The chemist usually studies the structure of a compound only after it has become available in the pure state. So, separation is a necessary step in the various chemical analysis.
