Image Segmentation has many applications in medical field. Microscopic blood image segmentation is one of them. This book describes an effective method of microscopic blood image segmentation in frequency domain. The detection accuracy is much higher in the frequency domain analysis than any other technique in Spatial domain. The technique, described in this book is well defined by explaining the preliminaries of frequency domain filters. I believe that the proposed method will be useful algorithm for the students, academicians, researchers and others who want to work in microscopic blood cell detection.

The author (Soumen Biswas) completed his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering at The Visvesvaraiya Technological University, Belgaum, India, and his M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Institute of Engineering and Management. He has many research publication in the field of Image Processing and Application.
