The growing environmental awareness throughout the world has triggered a paradigm shift from synthetic fibres and their composites to that made from reinforcing constituents of natural fibre and particulates which are more environmental friendly. Periwinkle shells as reinforcing agent for polymer resin was evaluated. This book gives you an insight on the influence of different particle sizes and volume fractions on the mechanical properties of the particulate reinforced polymer composites.

Pius Chukwukelue Onyechi is a Professor of Industrial and Production Engineering at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. He obtained his B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Design and Manufacturing (Machine Tools) at the Transylvania University of Brasov, Romania, and Ph.D. in Design and Production at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
