Combustion modeling and predicting phsical events inside reciprocating engines are very useful to design new combustion chambers. However, combustion modeling in 3D moving geometry is very difficult. In this book, different combustion models were compared within a multi-dimensional framework applied to heavy duty CI engine. Turbulent cold flow, spray, combustion were modeled and models compared with each other.

Dr. Hasan KÖTEN is a lecturer at Mechanical Engineering Department of Marmara University in Turkey. He got Mechanical Engineering and Electrical-Electronics Engineering degrees from Sakarya University. He finished MSc and PhD at Marmara University in 2014. He worked at The Ohio State University during his PhD study as a visiting scholar.
