This book focuses upon exploitation of space-borne remote sensing technology in monitoring natural resources with special emphasis on satellite image processing, data modeling and artificial intelligence. It provides new insight for forest biophysical parameter retrieval using POLINSAR coherence based semi-empirical modeling approach. It also introduces an alternative for the extensive and time consuming field data collection at remote and inaccessible forest cover areas on Earth.
