Computer vision deals with recognition of objects, as well as identification and localization of three dimensional environments. The current work is proposed to assist a missile to hit the target in a war field. Images will be extracted from the video stream and objects of interest (soldier, tree and tank) would be recognized. Distinguishable features of the objects are extracted and these features are used to identify and classify the objects. The instantaneous position of these objects is found to aid the missile path. The scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) used to extract features from such images are processed to classify the objects such as soldier, tank, tree, etc.

T.R.Vijaya Lakshmi received her Master's degree in Systems and Signal Processing from JNTUH, India in the year 2011. She has more than 14 years of teaching experience and has submitted her PhD thesis recently to JNTUH, India. Her areas of research include pattern recognition, speech processing, machine and deep learning.
