Fly ash is a by-product of the combustion of pulverized coal in the thermal power plants which is one of the most common causes of environmental pollution. This book discusses the generation of fly ash and its characteristics. This book is a dictionary for the people who are working in the mining and environment field. It is a compilation of knowledge from different literature and experience which could not be found in a single book. The chapters in this book confer about the properties of the fly ash, fly ash disposal in various sectors, various mode of transportation, the environmental impact of fly ash and a detailed study of fly ash utilization in the mining industry.
