Beschreibung

Mobile communications has become ubiquitous these days. With the advent of multi-media applications, there is now need for higher bandwidth and faster data rates. CDMA communication system offers efficient mode of communication compared to other communication systems. DS-CDMA system falls short in meeting bandwidth requirements for multi-media applications. WCDMA a 3G technology, is a wideband digital radio communications technology, which provides new service capabilities, increased network capacity compared to 2G technologies. The book is about the realization and comparison of the performance of DS-CDMA system and WCDMA system for Image transmission. This involves design of WCDMA based Transceiver module consisting of OVSF and Gold code spreading with QPSK modulation and a DS-CDMA based Transceiver module consisting of OVSF and Gold Code spreading with BPSK modulation. The receiver section realizes demodulation and despreading with other supporting modules. The Performance is evaluated on the basis of Signal to Noise ratio, Bit Error Rate and Quality of image reception.
