Microwave photonics is a new technology to accomplish the generation, transmission and processing of microwave signal by optical method. Compared with traditional electronic technology, microwave photonics demonstrates the advantages of lower loss, high-bandwidth, anti-electromagnetic. Hence, microwave photonics is widely used in many fields, such as wireless network, radar system, sensor network and satellite communication. In all-optical network, the Photonic arbitrary waveform generation is an important topic because most of signals is generated on electrical devices currently and limited bandwidth, excessive loss, low carrier frequency all become its weakness but current radar system and satellite communication system are moving forward to high bandwidth, large capacity, and high frequency. In this case, Photonic arbitrary waveform generation become a unique solution due to inherent broadband operation, excellent stability, high-quality waveform.
