The internet of things is increasingly growing and more and more devices are connected to the web. Autonomous machines and robots are continuing to emerge into society. The power of open source hardware and software has taken the electronic hobbiest world by storm showing signs of its true potential. Microcontrollers and wifi modules allow us to come up with endless amounts of useful applications. One being a security robot that can wirelessly connect to the internet. The ability to control a robot over a wifi link can have great implifications for security. The ability to react to a problem while it happens from a safe remote position is an evolution in security. This book shows the design and implementation of the basics of building an internet controlled security robot and the possible concepts with further development. This includes a robot having 3 states, autonomously driven for relocation, stationary state for waiting on motion and manually driven over the internet by a video games controller with communication back to the user.
