It is the task of categorizing different objects as per their visual content. Different models of Image Classification evolved through the ages have been explained in lucid and brief manner. A brief literature survey and scopes are also explained, so that the researchers and academicians can get a head-start into the field.

Dr. Toshanlal Meenpal is an Assistant Professor at NIT Raipur, India. He obtained his PhD from BARC, Mumbai. His research interests include Computer Vision, Image Understanding and Analysis, Multimedia Security techniques like Digital Watermarking, Steganography and Cryptography.
