This book is centred on the demystification of indigenous knowledge system (IKS) vis-à-vis the growth of cyber space technologies which endure both constructive and antagonistic effects in Africa and other developing nations.It aims to explore the effects and influence of cyber technology on indigenous knowledge system, especially in Africa. The discussion is grounded on three theories; Post-colonial theory, Eurocentric theory and Technological determinism. It features the development of cyber technologies in relation to IKS and tackles the current debate on the role of cyber technology in IKS and critique of IKS policy options. The book considers also the controversies surrounding the topic that is attrition of IKS by cyber technology and complications posed on IKS by Cyber Technology that is cyber fraud, cyber bullying and cyber pornography. The book rounds off by giving solutions and recommendations, as well as the general conclusion of the book.

Dr. Shewangu Dzomira is a holder of PhD in Accounting, DBA, M.Comm. Acc, B.Comm. Acc (Hons). He is a scholar and has published several articles in accredited journals. His research focus areas include cyber, internet and electronic fraud risk, tax fraud, digital forensics, public sector governance and sustainable reporting.
