Beschreibung
The main objective of this book is to determine the location and strength of normal shock wave in the divergent portion of the nozzle and to investigate the performance and flow characteristics of nozzle under varying operating conditions and with different nozzle geometry, as this shock degrades the performance of the nozzle in term of the thrust produced. A mathematical expression has been derived which enables the limiting pressure ratio at which the nozzle just runs full to be calculated and plots are presented from which the shock position within the nozzle can be obtained.
