Beschreibung
Few researches have been conducted on the production of soap from sesamum indicum seed oil, hence investigating the physicochemical properties, GC-MS and soap production from the seed oil is very vital. The two varieties of Sesame (Sesamun indicum L) white and brown L. seed were used. The hexane extract was obtained by complete extraction using the Soxhlet extractor (GG-17, SHUNIU). The analysis of the fatty acids in the two varieties of sesame seed (Sesamun indicum L.) oil was done using a Shimadzu QP2010 plus series gas chromatography coupled with Shimadzu QP2010 plus mass spectroscopy detector (GC-MS) system. Soap was produced using cold-process and its quality was analyzed using certain procedures.
