Recycled Aggregate Concrete (RAC), one of the latest innovations in sustainable construction technology, generates tremendous interest amongst the researchers, engineers and concrete technologists. This book offers the construction industry professional an in-depth description of the use of RAC in pavement construction and rapid repair. Engineering application and life-cycle cost assessment of RAC pavement was also presented. It is concluded that incorporation of fly ash and admixture improves the quality of RAC and enhances its performance in terms of setting time, strength and long term durability, which is suitable for road rehabilitation engineering.

Dr. Yidong Xu is the head of Experimental Center of Civil Engineering at Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University. He has over 10 years' experience of research in building materials. He has published more than 50 papers in refereed journals. He is also an active member of RILEM TC CCH and Chinese Ceramic Society Solid Waste Subcommittee.
