Almost all the countries have some small to big ranges hill in their topography and with the evolution of mankind, we have been developing many infrastructure there. Due to the changes of topography specially for cutting down hill also for changing land cover, the nature reacting destructively in the form of landslide. Every year landslide brings huge loss of lives and property. In Bangladesh more than hundred of people die every year due to landslide disaster. This work is to find out the reasons behind triggering landslide hence to develop some sustainable measures to combat the disaster. By this research work we recommended some precautionary measures with the development of early warning system by analyzing the soil properties, land uses and rainfall which might combat the vulnerability of landslide disaster.

Yiaser Arafat Graduated in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He completed some courses in Lund University, Sweden with the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. Mr. Yiaser travelled Sweden, UK, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Nepal, India, Belarus, Thailand, Malaysia for study, research and conference.
