Green Building is a sustainable construction and high-performance building. Sustainability can be defined as the ability to meet our needs while high-performance buildings are buildings that designed and built to minimize resource consumption, reduce life cycle costs, maximize health and productivity for the buildings occupants, and improve environmental performance. By making a green building, we can reduce electricity consumption, energy use, carbon dioxide (CO) emissions and potable water consumption. Green buildings cost approximately 2% more than Conventional Buildings. Because of all these benefits we can gain from green buildings, this book will provide a key to develop the future of buildings.
