Beschreibung
This is a compendium of soil geotechnical properties in Nigeria especially the ones that are problematic to civil engineering construction works like roads, dams, buildings and so on. It is a database of information on all the research and findings on typical Nigerian soils most importantly the ones that poses problem to construction. Contours were developed using ArcGIS software for the soil geotechnical properties on a digital map of Nigeria where adequate data were obtained for the soils. The database will be of immense use to contractors, consultants, researchers and students that wish to know more about problem soils in Nigeria.

Ademola Bolarinwa is versed with many years of experience as a geotechnical engineer in the industry before joining the academia. He is a seasoned researcher, teacher of Geotechnical Engineering and currently lectures at the Department of Civil Engineering, Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Nigeria. He is working on his PhD research at AUT, NZL.
