Climate change as a global environmental problem continues to attract attention from different actors. However, different measures are being put in place to combat climate change. In this book, the REDD+ initiative to combat deforestation as one of the major ways to mitigating climate change is discussed. To further understand how the REDD+ initiative is being implemented, this book examines the institutional frameworks around the REDD+ governance structures. A case study of institutional frameworks in Nigeria as a low forested country participating In the REDD+ programme is also discussed.

Abidemi Olatunbosun holds a B.Sc in Marine Sciences, First Class Division from the University of Lagos, with an M.Sc in Environmental Systems Analysis from Wageningen University and Research Centre, The Netherlands. He has extensive practical experience in the areas of Environmental Management Systems, Information Technology and Programming.
